Small cut tiles set in grout: the subject is laid along its own form while the field runs in even rows or in arcs around it, in ochre, terracotta and turquoise. Pictures come out warm and southern, good for books on craft, the sea and journeys. The series works as a set of panels: an animal head, a vessel, a roofline, a bay.
