Fauvism: rooms of the south where colour is untied from nature, the table is pink, the shadows are blue, and a thick outline holds the object instead of shading. Pictures come out sunny and homely, a bowl of oranges, a fish tank by the garden, a figure at a laid table. The series runs as one recognisable room: what changes is what is on the table and the side the light comes from.
