Coloured Japanese printing: flat fills, a thin dark outline, distance built in steps, blue against ochre. Pictures come out contemplative, a wave crest with claws of foam, a mountain under a flat white cap, a net on stakes by the water, for books on nature, the East and travel. The series is five main shapes in different weather: a wave, a mountain, a pine, a boat, a bridge.
